161: A postcard

Greetings from Lauderdale By The Sea, Florida!  This is an auto-post.  A just-in-case we don’t have internet access right away or I find myself too busy enjoying the moment to post about it.

M and I left winter behind and will be spending the next ten days enjoying some sun, surf, and sand.  I’ll post when/if I can.

(The photo is from our visit to Launderdale By The Sea last year.)

    What a beautiful photo!

  2. Yes, definitely postcard worthy!
Hope you had a pleasant flight, can’t wait to hear (OK, read!) all about San Diego!

Why did I just know where you were going? It’s a great spot. My husband and I enjoyed many relaxing times in that area even though we were usually working. Jerry liked to get up early and talk to the old guys on the bench down by the beach. And my daughter, who lived in the Miami area at the time, met me there once to spend the day. Good memories. Hope yous are, too.

Maybe because we’ve turned into snowbirds who fly to the same spot every year, Anhinga. lol! I do love it here but I’ve been wondering if we shouldn’t explore another destination next year.

P.S. If you can’t find wi-fi, I’m sure the Courtyard up the street has it. They were great help when we were there on business.

  5. How wonderful! Take care and enjoy the sunshine! Can’t wait to hear about your trip!

    Hugs from Haiti,
    Kathy

    So still and serene.
Must have been really nice there

    • Robin says:

It has been very nice so far, Artswebshow. But “serene” it’s not, with the wind doing its best to blow us all inland. 😉

  7. Enjoy the break from the mid-America winter!

  8. SWK says:

Definitely captures that sense of relaxation and peace one seeks in a vacation… lovely.

    Enjoy! What a beautiful place!

  10. Lucky you – escaping the yucky part of winter! Have a great time!! 🙂

  11. Karma says:

Wow, (nearly) spring break! Have a wonderful time!

    • Robin says:

Nearly, Karma, but far enough away from it that we don’t have to worry about being in the midst of it. We made that mistake one year, going to Key West at the tail end of spring break. It was fun, but not exactly restful. lol!

A guide on our boat tour yesterday mentioned that the swimmers who would come to the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale were responsible for bring spring break to this area. Whether that is true or not, I don’t know.

  14. milkayphoto says:

Rubbing it in, are we now? 😉

Seriously jealous of you!!! Have a great time and soak in as much sunshine as you can!

    • Robin says:

Well, you know… not rubbing it in so much as just enjoying it, Tracy. 🙂

Thanks! I’m loading up on the Vitamin D, that’s for sure.
