213: One

One Tomato

This week’s WP Weekly Photo Challenge is One.   Easy peasy, as they say.  An interesting chance to study things one at a time.

One vase filled with multiple daffodils

Or to look at one which holds many.  Yesterday M filled a large bucket with daffodils from all around the property.  We have vases and other vessels filled with the daffs all over the house, perfuming the air and brightening up the rooms.

One dandelion hidden in the grass

The flower which is single need not envy the thorns that are numerous.

One goose honking

To discover joy is to return to a state of oneness with the universe.

~ Peggy Jenkins

One basket, one ball, one backboard, one post, one sky

A miracle is nothing more or less than this:  Anyone who has come into a knowledge of his or her true identity, of his or her oneness with the all-pervading wisdom and power, this makes it possible for laws higher than the ordinary mind knows of to be revealed to him or her.

~ Ralph Waldo Trine

One amazing sunset

It’s difficult to believe in yourself because the idea of self is an artificial construction.  You are, in fact, part of the glorious oneness of the universe.  Everything beautiful in the world is within you.

~ Russell Brand

One incredible reflection of the color in the sky

It’s been raining here in the Bogs all day today.  A soft, misty rain training across the area with no end in immediate sight.  Thunderstorms are in the forecast for tomorrow.  My outdoor time this afternoon was soggy, boggy, and just plain wet.

If it’s true that April showers bring May flowers, our May flowers will be magnificent this year if they don’t end up waterlogged.

Happy Easter to those of you out there celebrating it!

I especially like the tomato. It looks enticing. Soft misty rain sounds beautiful. I also like contemplating One. Seeing how the Many can really be the One, and the One the Many. Happy Easter to you too Robin!

Autumn/fall here. The garden is looking pretty bare but the shops are selling tulips and other flowers. Like your comment about April showers and May flowers. Hope it comes true for you.
    Happy Easter

Love the tomato and the flowers – jonquils or daffs? Love the goose and love the quotes, too. Nice ONE!

  5. Great quotes and beautiful pics. The last two ones are my favorites. It’s amazing how the pond turned pink in the sunshine.

  6. Great view of “one,” I don’t think I would have thought of the reflection in the pond as one, but you did a nice job with the theme.

Great ‘One’ shots…my favorite has to be the daffodil just because of the perspective.
