After the rain

The clouds cleared this morning, allowing the sun to make a big appearance, but the wind is gusty and there is a chill in the air. Much more like the end of winter than mid-spring.

Newly formed leaves, blossoms, and seeds are flying off the trees, along with a few branches. The birds who try to fly are having a rough time of it. Mother Nature is in a blustery mood.
Old Man Winter returns

We woke up to white-out conditions this morning. The frenzied wind is blowing snow in all directions, drifting is some areas and little to no accumulation in others. Lake effect snow will kick in tonight and we never know what that will bring. It’s usually an all or nothing situation with lake effect.

Everything seems to come up all at once in the usual when it rains, it pours fashion. I wonder why things cluster that way.
woman cold sad September rain

Except for the fact that it’s October, it might not be too hard to come up with an image to go with the post title/search engine term. It’s another cold and rainy day here in the Bogs. I’m sure there must be a woman cold, sad, and standing in the October rain somewhere. It’s too late for being cold and sad in the September rain. Or too early, depending on your point of view. (For the record: The “Sock skating down the hallway” title the other day was not a search engine term. It’s something I actually do. No photos of that activity are currently available for viewing.)

Some, like the big red ball, are whimsical and fun. Others will require some clean-up.
