Today I saw a hawk moth in the wildflower meadow. It’s the first time I’ve seen one here. His little wings were moving so fast that it was impossible to capture anything other than a blur.
A smoberversary

The snowstorm that moved through was not lake effect snow at all, but part of a clipper system coming down from Canada. The snow we’re expecting later today will be brought to us courtesy of another front. The weather prognosticators are saying we could get up to 6 inches of new snow. Skiing might be possible tomorrow.
Insomnolence

The pain meds help with sleep, too. They knock me out, but I still dream. The dreams have been a mixture of the wonderful, the wild, and the weird, which is the usual way of dreams except when they’re nightmares, but then, those are not dreams at all, but little horrorfests that take place in the darkest nights of the mind and soul.
Retrospective Part 2

When I decided to do this, I concluded that the best approach for me would be to choose images that are either my favorites or I just plain like for some reason or another even though they may not make a top ten favorites list.
Moonlight on Lake Erie

I’ve read plenty of tips and advice on the matter, and while I hesitate to blame the camera, I suspect that might be part of the problem. I used a tripod, lowered the ISO, and tried a variety of settings. It was an extremely windy night so some blurring was unavoidable.
Scenes from Cleveland

They must have worked. After an unprecedented (for me) amount of sleep, I am feeling much, much better. It’s as if all that sleep resulted in a brand new me. The contrast between how I felt yesterday and how I feel today is amazing.

We had a great time which, unfortunately, was shortened a bit this morning due to illness. I’m not feeling too well.
