When I walked around the pond and into the woods this morning, I, too, vanished into the mist, wandering in a world that was familiarly unfamiliar.

The Color Run Redux

That’s because I made sure I got well and truly colored. The color I’m dealing with today is all over the stuff I unpacked this morning, things I wore and/or had with me while walking The Color Run. There is so much color to deal with because I figured I might as well go all-in. You don’t have to. If you prefer not to get too much color, stick to the middle. You’ll probably get some color, but not a lot unless the volunteers spreading the colorful cheer are very vigorous and enthusiastic in their duties.
WordPress randomness in real life situations

It was so much fun I’d love to do it again someday, hopefully with one of my grandchildren. Oh heck, I’d like the whole family to come along! And all of my friends! If you ever get the opportunity to participate in one, do it. Don’t think twice about it. Just do it. You don’t have to be a runner. Many of the people participating were not running at all. Some were walking. A few were skipping or dancing occasionally (especially at or near the finish line). More than a few were rolling on the ground, but that was just at the color stations. I’m pretty sure they didn’t roll the entire 5k.
Let’s walk

Photos for today’s post are from that hike. I hiked 5k, a practice run for tomorrow’s Color Run (which I’ll be walking, as I expect quite a few folks will be doing since it’s not a race but something done for fun).
Glass in the garden

For those inquiring minds that want to know, you are allowed to take photographs as long as you are not going to sell the photographs. I have promised not to sell them, and I make a grand total of absolutely nothing on my blog, so I won’t be profiting from them in any way.
