Sunday in the garden

In the Costa Rica greenhouse garden. Cleveland Botanical Garden.

I have gone back to the Cleveland Botanical Garden, sorting through some more of the photos I took over a week ago during my last visit.  It’s another beautiful day here in the Bogs and I could bring you photos from today, but I wanted to finish going through the Orchid Mania images before starting on something new.

Scattered thunderstorms

Summer is paying an early visit to the Bogs.  The heat has been building along with the clouds.  I expect those clouds to burst any moment, the way they did in the early morning hours, waking us with thunder, lightning, and surges of heavy rain hitting the house.  Between the heat and the humidity, it does not feel spring-like at all.

198: An assemblage of orchids

Color is making its way back into the Bogs, slowly but surely.  However, it still isn’t nearly as colorful as the orchids were at the Cleveland Botanical Garden Orchid Mania exhibit.  As I slowly, but surely, make my way through the photos I took, I’ll keep sharing them from time to time.  It helps fill in the gaps on those days when I struggle with coming up with a post.
