I used to have fiery intensity,
and a flowing sweetness.
The waters were illusion.
The flames, made of snow.
Was I dreaming then?
Am I awake now?

About the time this scheduled post makes its appearance, M and I should be on our way to the Province of New Brunswick, said to be the Gateway to Atlantic Canada. We have about a seven hour drive from Portland, Maine to the place where we’re staying in New Brunswick. We’ll be the tired and confused looking people arriving later than we’d like, but you take what you can get when it comes to affordable flights.

When we focus on what we can get out of yoga, we miss the point. We also place ourselves in physical danger while sabotaging our relationship to our practice. To realize the beauty of yoga in our lives, we must never forget that the prize is in the process.

It is a beautiful, sunny, warm day here in the Bogs. The cats have been following the sunshine around the house, immersing themselves in the warmth and the light. I’ve been doing some sun worshiping, too.

When I first saw Karma’s Photo Hunt theme for October, I thought, “oh, fun!” I love words, and enjoy playing with them. I was ready to jump on the bandwagon and join in the fun. But as the month grew older, I grew no wiser as to what I was going to do with the theme of idioms. With so much to pick from, I was drawing a blank.

Textured is the theme for this week’s WordPress Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge. Boy, that’s a mouthful. Not the textured part. The WordPress, etc., etc. I could use that to fill up some space when I’m doing my morning pages.

It’s here! Spring! Everyone around here is doing a happy dance. The rain stopped, the sun came out, and the temperature made it up to about 70 degrees today. How exciting is that? It was so nice that I was able to take my bike out for another ride. That’s a grand total of 2 rides since M and I bought our bikes.
