Thursday Travels: Ferries and boats and lighthouses, oh my

After a quick visit to say goodbye to the beach, we made our way to Wood Islands, PEI to take the ferry to Caribou, Nova Scotia. (Side note: This must seem like it was the longest trip in the world, especially when you consider that this is only the half way point. We really did pack in a lot of activities each day.)

Spectral morning

When I walked around the pond and into the woods this morning, I, too, vanished into the mist, wandering in a world that was familiarly unfamiliar.

This year seemed to fly by. Is time faster than the speed of light? (I suppose if time was faster we’d be able to time travel.) Sometimes it feels that way — much too fast.
Wandering in the woods

The earth around here is back to its natural boggy state, and sometimes getting down into the woods can be an adventure when the ground is wet and slippery. I must have been in the mood for adventure this morning.
