Thursday Travels: Leaving Prince Edward Island

I think this is the Covehead Lighthouse.  (Late afternoon, 6 June 2012.)

Well, here we are back on Prince Edward Island.  It’s just about time to say goodbye.  M and I had only one full day there, and we did as much as we could considering the weather.

On this first day of Autumn

Looking out over the meadows on the first day of Autumn

Rains came overnight, but this morning the clouds parted and the sun came out in time to welcome the Spirit of Autumn to the realm of Breezy Acres.  Yellows are rolling across the meadows and reds are starting to color the tips of the maple leaves.  The crows continue to meet in the woods for their Caw Conference, the Blue Jays trying to imitate them. Late in the day, storm clouds and rain returned, but just before the rain fell, the colors around the pond swelled and popped, and a painting of Autumn spread out across the land.

Last day of summer

On the Towpath Trail yesterday

Just a quick post to mark the end of summer, and to say hello.  I’m having fun with our visiting family person.  We’ve been biking and hiking, talking and laughing, and generally having a great time, enjoying each other’s company.  I’ll be back with something more substantial on Sunday.  I will be ending my yoga challenge tomorrow and starting my meditation challenge on Sunday.

I hope you’ve had the time and opportunity to get out and enjoy this last day of summer.  We had a surprisingly nice day.  Surprising because they had been predicting rain.  The rain did arrive a little while ago, but we got to spend most of the day outdoors before that happened and there was plenty of sunshine to go around.

Catch up with you soon!

Perfect weather

A morning walk around the pond

Soggy weather

Today’s view of the pond

Water, the Hub of Life.  Water is its mater and matrix, mother and medium.  Water is the most extraordinary substance!  Practically all its properties are anomalous, which enabled life to use it as building material for its machinery.  Life is water dancing to the tune of solids.

Monday meditation

Morning glow

When you are full of meditativeness, it means you are at the very center of your being.  The experiencing of the very center of your being starts blossoming into love, into laughter, into a song, into a dance.

A lovely weekend

Somewhere on the Towpath Trail.

We were blessed with beautiful weather this weekend.  M and I talked about going up to Cleveland for the Ingenuity Festival, but decided we had too much to do to take the hour trip up (and hour trip back).  Maybe next year we’ll make it.
