364: Misty morning

I was up and out early this morning, taking another barefoot walk through the dewy grass.  Although it is still technically summer, the autumn mists seem to have settled in as our morning greeter.

363: A walk in the rain

While out and about on my walk today, I started thinking about why I enjoy this time of year so much.  It is an unpredictable time of year.  We’ve had rain with the occasional sunny interludes throughout the day.  I’ve been outside several times today, and never know what kind of weather I might walk into.  At least it isn’t snow yet.

359: On the Towpath Trail

Lil' Monet. From the Gnomes and Gardens exhibit at the Holden Arboretum.

It is another beautiful day here in the Bogs.  Sunny with autumn-like temperatures.  Perfect hiking and/or biking weather.  But there was work to be done around Breezy Acres so the only hiking I managed today was around the pond.

358: Something you don’t see everyday

We woke up this morning to the sound of a hot air balloon overhead.  The Ravenna Balloon A-Fair is this weekend so I suspect we will have quite a bit of balloon traffic over the next day or two.  It’s too bad they don’t have a hot air balloon race as part of the festivities.  A race would have fit right in with Scott’s latest assignment which is Competition.  The assignment is due on September 28th so there’s plenty of time to find something suitable.
