All living things would fade and die from too much light or too much dark, if twilight were not.
~ Howard Thurman
Sometimes you need to press pause to let everything sink in.
~ Sebastian Vettel
Let’s have a seat on the shore of South Harbor in Cape Breton, and pause for a little while. Watch the sunset. Listen to the sounds of the water lapping on the shore. Feel the breeze. You’ll need a jacket or a sweatshirt or a sweater, but it’s not too cold since we’re time traveling back to last June. The scent of the air is wonderfully green with a hint of saltiness from the ocean that is just beyond the harbor. Twilight seems to linger for a long while here, as if someone has pushed the pause button.
The benefit of seeing… can only come if you pause a while, extricate yourself from the maddening mob of quick impressions ceaselessly battering our lives, and look thoughtfully at a quiet image… the viewer must be willing to pause, to look again, to meditate.
~ Dorothea Lange
Sometimes the photographer needs to extricate herself from the maddening mob of quick impressions, too. Enjoy this scheduled post. I’ll be back in a day or two.
Be good, be kind, be loving, just Be. 🙂
