Walking the rainbow colored trails
To find the center
Where the old grandmothers and grandfathers live.
See you again soon, after I venture out from the other side.
Meditation is not the pursuit of an invisible path leading to some imagined bliss. The meditative mind is seeing — watching, listening, without the word, without comment, without opinion — attentive to the movement of life in all its relationships throughout the day.
~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Rainbow colored trails. Fabulous. That tree is stunning.
The photo doesn’t do it justice, Colleen. It’s an incredible tree. I couldn’t capture it well, but it almost looks like it’s giving birth to other trees from the center of itself. Amazing.
I can’t imagine “more” than what I see there. It just seems so powerful! And I love the ‘rainbow colored trail’. I think I could look at that tree for hours.
I spent the past two days in the woods at Lincoln Trail State Park in Indiana, then drove through them on back roads today Simply awesome, as are your photos.
Which way are you headed, Pat? Anywhere near Ohio?
Reblogged this on Appleledge II.
Thank you for the reblog, Robert. 🙂
Thank you for taking me along. I am pretty much a city person but you can tell by the view from the back deck of my condo that I am always attached to the woods. It borders on part of the Portland Trails. This is about a mile from my house in the middle of the city.

Glad you enjoyed it, Robert. 🙂
Amazing shots! The tree is majestic!!
Thank you, Amy. 🙂
what a beautiful capture of the Guardian Tree.
Thanks, Joss. It is an amazing old tree. 🙂
Thanks for sharing the outstanding colors.
You’re welcome, Frank. And thanks. 🙂
Wonderful fall color Robin!
Thanks, Phil. 🙂
very photogenic walk you want on, how is the meditation going?
It’s going really well so far, Chloe. I think it’s going to be a good year as far as that goes. 🙂
Speechless. 🙂
😀
Wonderful meditation. Beautiful photos.
Thank you, Libby. 🙂
What a great time of year to be in the bogs and outside with a camera. We have a busy month ahead, but I’m going to try my hardest to get outside with my camera.
This is, in my opinion, the best time to be out and about with a camera, Christine. It won’t last much longer. Looks as though we have another week or so before all the leaves come down (unless we get a big wind sooner than that).
There is such beauty in your forest Robin. 🙂
🙂
Great phrase “rainbow colored trails” – and the fern shot: such a crown!
Thank you, PhilosopherMouse. 🙂
