The experiencing of the very center of your being starts blossoming into love, into laughter, into a song, into a dance.

This morning’s meditation was an opening. A glimpse of warmth and light, almost like autumn colors lit from within. I carried that feeling with me on my walk this morning
It is eternity now. I am in the midst of it. It is about me in the sunshine.
~ Richard Jefferies
Pausing is the doorway to awakening.

The weather continues to be amazing. Bright, beautiful, and not too hot. The garden continues to produce. Red and yellow peppers ripening in the sunlight. Butternut squashes waiting for just the right moment to be picked. It will be time for a trip to the orchard soon.
The light is wonderful this time of year, peeking through the branches of the trees and lighting up the colorful foliage.
We eat light, drink it in through our skins. With a little more exposure to light, you feel part of things physically. I like feeling the power of light and space physically because then you can order it materially. Seeing is a very sensuous act — there’s a sweet deliciousness to feeling yourself see something.

Thanks for stopping by and joining me on my daily walk. Don’t forget the group walk the week of October 8-14. Just pick a day within that week, take a walk or a bike ride or whatever it is you want to do outdoors, blog about it, and make sure to leave me a link if you want to be included in the wrap up. (I know. It’s still a month away. I’ll remind you again as we get closer to the dates. Just wanted to put it out there again so you can mark your calendar.)
Have a delightful morning, afternoon, evening… wherever and whenever you are on the spectrum of time. 🙂
Beautiful photos as always, Robin. The title for your first picture makes me think of the song of the same name – “Morning Glow” from the Broadway show Pippin. Are you familiar with this play or the song? The play is an old one that dates back to the 70’s and originally starred John Rubenstein and Ben Vereen. It’s a nice play and a beautiful song.
I’m not familiar with it, Osh. I’ll go see if I can find it on YouTube.
Thank you. 🙂
I’m going to run out of ways to say “stunning”. 🙂
lol! Well, that’s a good thing. I think. Thank you, Colleen. 🙂
I’m just beginning my day here Robin, and the relaxing walk and seeing your autumn leaves is a beautiful and peaceful way to welcome the new day. 🙂
Thank you, Joanne. 🙂
Lovely morning meditation, Robin. And now it’s a lovely evening meditation for me… Thank you.
You’re welcome, Kathy. And thank you. 🙂
Just to let you know, Robin…I have featured one of your photographs in my latest post at the Crossroads…

Thanks so much, Osh. 🙂
Gorgeous photos and I especially like Sparkles…. great abstract. Love the play of contrast between light and dark. The quotes are wonderful to go with. Lovely post, Robin.
Thank you, Anna. 🙂
I’m home from work tired and irritable and want to thank you for taking us on such a beautiful walk. Just what I needed!
Your photos of leaves with the light shining just so and the red color advertising the coming autumn took my breath away!
Thank you, Rosie. I’m so glad you enjoyed the walk. 🙂
Some great colours here.
Thanks. 🙂
You’re welcome, Sallyann. And thank you. 🙂
Thanks for sending me the link Robin! Good week – I hope there is nice weather on Columbus Day. That would be a great day for me to plan to participate.
You’re welcome, Karma. Glad those dates will work for you. Looking forward to your walk. 🙂
[…] provides more inspiration in her idea for a group blog walk. She had mentioned over the summer about how she’d like to take a really long walk […]
And thank you for the link/pingback, Karma!! 🙂
Funny, I was driving down a dirt road today enjoying the sunshine and fall colors and thinking that I wanted to ride my bike and take my camera so I could really experience it. If the weather is sane your week in October I might just do that and take you all along! 🙂 good idea!!
Oh good, Dawn! The more the merrier. 🙂
I love the third shot! What is it?
Thank you, Belen. 🙂
It’s sunlight sparkling on pond weeds.
Lovely light and colors. I’ll be doing a couple of photo “drives” this coming weekend and I will be sure to blog about and share it. Colors are getting close to peak in the upstate NY.
Thank you, Scott. 🙂 I look forward to seeing the upstate NY fall colors.
