Distorted

In a person who is open to experience each stimulus is freely relayed through the nervous system, without being distorted by any process of defensiveness.

~ Carl Rogers

The Weekly Photo Challenge this week is Distorted.  The photo above was taken on our way to Reeds Gap State Park.  I used Photoshop to add some distortion.

For those who want something a little prettier, I used Photoshop to distort one of the bridge over the Susquehanna River photos (seen in a post earlier this week).  In addition to adding twirls and a radial blur, I distorted the colors so they would show up better.

Suppose we were able to share meanings freely without a compulsive urge to impose our view or conform to those of others and without distortion and self-deception.  Would this not constitute a real revolution in culture.

~ David Bohm

I’m spending time with family this weekend so I scheduled this post to fill in for me.  I’ll be back on Monday.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I think the first one is great. 🙂
My mind can’t quite work out what it is, so my distorted imagination is working overtime to fill in the gaps. 😀

  4. Love that first one – just crazy…all that movement! Excellent quote. (Oh, not too shabby a post – it’ll do fine while you are enjoying yourself)

Ha– this challenge would be perfect for my beloved, whose entire art career is based on distorting recognizable architecture in paint: http://www.martycultural.com (It’s not photography, but it still fits with this week’s theme like a glove!)

Have a great weekend, Ms. Robin. (I know you are. I hope it’s not a distorted weekend, though…) I thought this post might first be about distorted thoughts, distorted people, distorted weather patterns. The first photo is distortingly awesome!

Thank you so much everyone, for your comments, pingbacks, likes, visits. I apologize for the one big, generic, thank you, but I’ve fallen far, far behind. I expect I’ll never really be caught up, but I at least want to let you all know how much I appreciate your visits to the Bogs. 🙂
