The weather was beautiful at the time. The early clouds had been blown away by the gentle breeze and the sunlight made it feel relatively warm for a 40 degree morning. Clouds have since regathered and rain is expected this evening. Rain is good. The earth in this area needs it.
The kindness of flowers

Maybe not now, but it will some day. And in kind that kindness will flow, for kindness grows in this way.

Peace Arising from the Flames of War. Also known as the Fountain of Eternal Life and the War Memorial Fountain. Cleveland, Ohio.
Today I have a medley of scenes from Cleveland, starting with the War Memorial Fountain designed by Cleveland Institute of Art graduate Marshall Fredericks. It is located on Memorial Plaza which is part of the Cleveland Mall, and was originally dedicated in 1964. Surrounding the fountain are bronze plates engraved with the names of Clevelanders who died in World World II and the Korean War.

I found my thrill... (I know it was on Blueberry Hill, but that song keeps running through my head whenever I think "Daffodil Hill")
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host, of golden daffodils.~ William Wordsworth
Joanne commented that she couldn’t wait to see the daffodils. I am not sure they are worth the excitement of a cliffhanger so I decided not to make Joanne or you all wait. Photographing Daffodil Hill is easy. Getting good images is not.

Spring here in the Bogs is slightly behind spring up in Cleveland. And today doesn’t feel like spring at all. It’s chilly (33 degrees when I went out for my walk this morning) and very breezy. There is a Freeze Warning in effect for tonight, with a low of 26 expected.
Where to start…

There are so many things to tell you about that I think it will take at least a week. I feel so saturated with life and art and the city of Cleveland that I don’t know where to begin.
