The opposite of talking is waiting.

This week’s Daily Post photo challenge is Waiting. Now that my computer is working again (thank you, M the Younger!), I was able to go to my archives for a few photos to fit the theme.
Waiting is painful. Forgetting is painful. But not knowing which to do is the worse kind of suffering.
~ Paulo Coelho
We have been gifted with sunshine here in the Bogs today. Bright, beautiful, light. Although it’s cold outside (in the 20s when I went out for my walk this morning), the sun makes it feel warmer.
I tried to capture some of the sunlight while I was out getting a dose of Vitamin D. After several days of rain and cloudiness, it was nice to see blue sky once again.
The clouds you see in the above photo eventually cleared out completely, but not while I was outside.
I watched and waited as the clouds would block and then release the sun. In the meadows, the sun appeared as a golden light in the grasses and dried flowers.
On the pond, the sun and cloud reflections created abstract works of art.
Waiting is something I don’t mind doing. I find it a good opportunity to catch my breath and slow down my thinking. If it’s a long wait, I use the time by reading, writing, doodling, or some other creative endeavor such as the knitting I’m learning how to do. How do you feel about waiting?
I promised you some flowers today, didn’t I? Birthday flowers like to be shared, and they don’t mind waiting if the wait isn’t too long.
I reckon that’s it from the Bogs for today. Thanks so much for dropping by and joining me on a short hike around the subject of waiting, and around the pond.
my favorite is the first one (for waiting) – love the last one – it is so confusing, but it fits together so well!
Thank you, SkP. 🙂
Wow, those clouds, like your flowers, are looking mighty fine. Love the Liebowitz quote.

Thanks, Kathy M. 🙂
I really like the white daisy as it is, beautiful!
Thank you, Martina. 🙂
A wonderful take on “waiting”, Robin. The photos are, as usual, top notch. I love that clear deep blue sky you were gifted with. Isn’t it so much more special when it is an unexpected break in a rainy period? Love it!
Thank you, Corina. 🙂
I love those unexpected breaks too. They’re gifts from the weather gods.

Photos and quotes – my favourite way of blogging too!
Thanks for stopping by, Margie. 🙂
Hiya, dropping in to catch up again …
I don’t mind waiting, so long as I don’t dislike what I’m doing while I am waiting. 🙂
Pictures are great, as usual, especially the sliver lining and sun rays reflection in the pond.
Thanks for the smile. 😀
You’re welcome, Hallysann. And thank you. 🙂
As always, these are gorgeous… 🙂
Thanks, Elizabeth. 🙂
I used to think that waiting was the most painful thing. Restlessness would attack and threaten to choke. After years of meditation, though, I am almost beginning to welcome waiting–except that it’s not waiting any more. It’s almost like the “pause” is becoming complete in itself. If that makes sense. Not always, but more often. As everyone else says, your photos are always gorgeous, Robin. Always.
Thank you, Kathy. 🙂
I like the idea of waiting as a “pause.” It makes perfect sense to me.
