324: Out on the water

Rowboat in fog and grass

I’m not sure what this day will bring so I’m scheduling this post to go out in case I’m either not home in time to do it live and in person, or I’m too tired.  M and I have a date with M the Younger and his lovely wife to go canoeing on the upper Cuyahoga River.  We’ll be having lunch after that, and then M and I have talked about taking a hike or going on a bike ride.  It depends, in part, on the weather.  There are scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for the afternoon.

The gnome hiding in the garden. (See yesterday's post.)

It didn’t seem right to schedule a post without a gnome (since I have so many of them).  The gnome you see above was the “hidden” (he seemed pretty obvious to me, but that could be because I knew where he was) gnome in yesterday’s post.  I have several photos of him, including a few close-ups, which I’ll post another day.  In the meantime, any guesses as to what his name is?

  1. Joe? Since he’s amongst the Joe Pye weed! Not correct, huh?

  2. Hope you enjoyed the canoeing. The gnome looks like a wizard–Harry Potteresque?

  3. it’s always a pleasure to view your photographs. you have an amazing talent for capturing beauty.

  4. “Smurf” looks a bit more friendly than the red one. Great shot of the boat on the lake, the simplicity says it all to me.

  6. Vincent? Looks like a kind of ‘Starry Night’ theme on his hat…

Based upon his hat, I am guessing his name is Merlin.

Hi Gnome! Sounds to me like you are living a wild and crazy and magical life, Robin! (And it seems impossible to believe it’s Day 324 already. What will you do when this is over?)

  15. My guess would be Merlin, too!
Love those foggy mornings, and gnome searching sounds like so much fun! I think that would even get my kids out of the house without complaining.

Okay I read the name Joe before I could guess his name… I love the idea of you having all these gnomes round… Hope the canoeing trip was joyful… Still working my way through several days of comments. I have pneumonia which has knocked me out for the loop… All will be well. TY for the lovely uplifting photos. 🙂

No need to get caught up on all my posts, Elizabeth. Not that I don’t appreciate it. I do. But give yourself a break, and just start where you are. 🙂
