237: A brief appearance

The sun, something I wasn’t sure existed anymore, made some brief appearances for a few hours today as the fog lifted and clouds drifted in and out. It not only brightened the world for a little while, it lifted my spirits.

The rain will be returning. Thunderstorms are headed this way as I type. But at least I had a little time to absorb some sunlight and increase my vitamin D levels. My outdoor time was spent sitting on the porch doing just that. Soak it all in.

M and I went to Cleveland last night to see/hear Cake in concert. We’re not generally in the habit of following a particular band around (click here for our last Cake experience), but the price was right, the date was good, we like the band and had a great time the last time we saw them, and Cleveland isn’t that far away. We met up with a friend who is in Cleveland this week, had dinner with him, and then he joined us as we enjoyed an evening with Cake who, so they say, were there to serve us.
Short post for today. I’m in the homestretch on this proofreading gig and hope to finish this afternoon or evening. Yay!

Pleeeeeaaaaaaaasssssse send some of that sunshine to Massachusetts! If it rains much more I’ll be forced to gather the animals in twos…

I don’t think there is such an object as a sun. It’s starting to affect everyone here. I’m going to have to resort to taking photos inside–boo! The blue sky in your pond photo is uplifting.
I can vouch for the fact that the suns till exists, Teresita. I saw it again today. 😀
The sun here keeps coming and going, I don’t think it knows where it lives. I love those yellow flowers – they vibrate every time I look at them! 🙂
Perhaps that is the problem, Val. The sun forgot where it lives and it let the clouds take over for a while.

Ditto that ‘sun’ thing down here in Rhode Island… My mother is visiting from Oklahoma, and thinks she’s going to freeze to death…
Marvelous yellow flower shots – they’ve got a funny name – starts with ‘O’. Blue-eyed Daisy is the common name, right? Or am I thinking of something else?
Thought I’d jump in here…these are African Daisies and their formal name is Osteospermum. Yes, funny name indeed. 🙂

What are the yellow flowers? They look a lot like my violet african daisies, but yellow. And they’re beautiful in the sun! If we go by the fact that your weather is a lot like mine, we should have sunshine here tomorrow. It hasn’t been raining, but it’s been overcast for about a week. I’m beginning to lose my mind!

Bright sunny flowers! Stunning and so cheerful! I’m trying to tank up on Vitamin D from the sun, too, whenever it peeks through the fog and drizzle. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been to a concert, Cake sounds like a great group and I’m glad you had a nice time. Nothing is better than live music, especially under the stars!

I thought of you (and your post on Vitamin D) while I was out there gathering sunlight. It’s difficult to keep those levels up when there is no sun.
