Faces from the County Fair (Part Two)

(Miss Maddy on an antique tractor.)

My favorite faces at the county fair were those of my granddaughters, Emma and Maddy.  Maddy really liked the tractor she’s sitting on in the above photo.  Her father tried moving her to other tractors but she kept wanting to come back to this one.

Almost all of the pigs were sleeping when we passed through the swine barn.  It made me wonder how much time they usually spend sleeping.

Many of the sheep were already shorn, but there was this one…

Looks like it could use a haircut.

I think one of Emma’s favorites involved the horses being put through their paces by the young girls.  I gather Emma has had a few riding lessons.

(Trotting towards the camera.)

The alpacas cracked me up.  I’d like to learn about raising alpacas.  They seem like interesting animals.

Maddy pictures always crack me up. That kiddiwink is a trip.

You have to get an alpaca or two. They can “mow” your grass. You know if you get one, I am so going to Ohio, STAT, to hang out with them. And you too, of course.

J: Maddy is something, that’s for sure. She has one of the most expressive faces I’ve ever seen and she uses such a wide range of them that it comes as a surprise at times.

Oh, I see. You won’t hang out here for the relaxation, my company, the good food, etc. But you will for an alpaca.

      I’ll think about it. 😉

Hee, hee – as I was scrolling through this post I thought to myself “that sheep looks like it could use a haircut”, which is exactly what you wrote underneath that picture!

I think the alpaca could use a haircut too — can they actually see with all that stuff in their eyes! Great shots.

  4. Love the photo of Maddy on the tractor. How could anyone resist that beautiful little face?

Maddy on the tractor is absolutely adorable! Great shots of the flavor of the county fair and I really like the last photo (LOL).
