The little Buddha

Sometimes looking deep into the eyes of a child, you are conscious of meeting a glance full of wisdom.  The child has known nothing yet but love and beauty.  All this piled-up world knowledge you have acquired is unguessed at by her.  And yet you meet this wonderful look that tells you in a moment more than all the years of experience have seemed to teach.

~ Hildegarde Hawthorne

The photo is a little grainy, a little blurry, and to me it’s wonderful just as it was taken.  I think Miss Maddy looks like a little Buddha, all lit up with joy.

In another year, maybe less, she’ll have lost the baby face and I’ll stop posting photos of her.  I’m glad I can share this one now.  🙂

I think the quote says it all ~ “The child has known nothing yet but love and beauty”. There is sure pure innocents in a child’s eyes, so clear and perfect, and also knowing.

Little Miss Maddy is wonderful! I loved her baby faced profile on your Scenes from Sunday post too. Keep taking millions of photos of her! 😀
