The NaBloPoMo theme for June is “Now.” It has interesting possibilities as far as photography goes but I suspect I would end up flailing about within a few days in the same way I did with the “haunted” theme last year. So, no NaBloPoMo for me this month. Just as well. Summer looks like it may be a fairly busy time for us.
What I plan to do instead of NaBloPoMo is post some of the flower shots I’ve taken over the past month or two. I feel like I’ve been saving them for a special occasion although the main reason I haven’t posted many of them has more to do with the “Look Up” theme than it does with hoarding or saving. I did come up with a few ideas in which flowers could be applied to “Look Up” but decided not to pursue it since I had plenty of other fodder for the theme.
All three photos above are the same shot. I took this photo of a rose at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens after it rained. The first two have been altered in Photoshop. The last is “almost as is” so to speak with the exception of a little tweak to sharpen it (which it might not have needed but I did it anyway).
To see more flowers and other garden photos, join me over at Bountiful Healing. I have so many that I’m going to spread them between the two blogs.
