Warm and humid

(Today’s view of the pond.)

Things are finally greening up here in the Bogs.  This weekend’s rain helped.  There must have been a freeze while we were traveling.  Some of the plants look as though they started to bud or bloom and then got hit with some mighty cold weather.

Most of the apple and crabapple trees that were protected are blooming pretty nicely, though.

I’ve finally gotten back to work on my Simplify2010 Project.  M and I have both been sorting and cleaning today.  The idea is to eventually have less stuff because having more stuff generally means more to take care of.  It would be nice to live a little more simply.

Garden notes:  M planted the sunflowers today.

I think I am doing the same project. It is slow going after 34 years in this house, but I’ve made a start. The Salvation Army truck is going to need new axles. 🙂

LOL, Anhinga! We’ve been carting our stuff off to Good Will. We’re going to wear out our car with all the back and forth. Or the road. 🙂

Have we all hit the stage in our lives when less feels like more??? I’m clearing things out too–feels good, doesn’t it?

I’m also in the midst of simplifying my life. It started with walking away from a load of digital mind clutter (blog, facebook, twitter) and it’s evolved into getting rid of a lot of possessions I have no use or need for. I’ve taken so much of the accumulated “stuff” to Goodwill and donated to other places and yet there still is so much. I feel lighter and freer and happier in so many ways! I highly suggest the blog Zen Habits if you haven’t started reading it.

    I’m still reading you though!

Wendi: Good to see you! I wondered if you were still around on the internet somewhere.

“Digital clutter” is so appropriate. I’ve pretty much dumped twitter, although I have to admit that was easy since I never really got into it.

I’m going to check out Zen Habits. Thank you!
