Greetings from Chicago

M and I made it to Chicago safe and sound.  It’s currently cloudy with a misty rain and about 40 degrees.  It’s going to stay like that for a day or two, then the sun should make an appearance.

Our flight was short (about an hour) and uneventful.  The taxi ride from the airport to our hotel took a little longer than the flight.  I don’t know how they would have managed the traffic here if Chicago had gotten the Olympics.

We had dinner last night at Pizzeria Due, the first franchise to Pizzeria Uno.  You can read a little about Pizzeria Uno’s history here.

Today I’m going out and about with my camera (and umbrella to keep my camera dry), to see what I can see.  I’ll try to continue on with my daily photo posts later.  Depends on how bad the rain is and whether or not I actually take any photos.

Just stumbled upon your blog — I’m at http://www.mybigwalk.wordpress.com. I can’t believe 1) how much your blog header looks like mine and 2) that in addition to that, you are posting about Chicago — where I lived for 9 years — and about books and writing, as I am an author.
Anyway — hi. Love the blog.

Hi Laurie and welcome to Life in the Bogs. 🙂

It’s funny how those commonalities add up, isn’t it?
