Last Sunday my 8 year old grandson found a toad in our wood pile. We moved it to one of my flower gardens & came inside to make a toad house out of an empty planter. He decorated it beautifully & name the toad Wild Thing. Such fun to check out the bogs & see this photo. Can’t wait to show him this! D
Wow, I’m flummoxed as to how you got the toad in front of that background! It looks like he’s just pulled into your viewfinder that is set on a white beach.
Ybonesy: The toad was sitting on our deck (the white beach looking thing). He had been hiding under my husband’s shoe, and when he removed the shoe the toad sat there for a little while (a good half hour or so). The angle, the lighting, and the cooperative toad all conspired to give it that look. 🙂
Are you missing the daily walk around the pond and Breezy Acres? Please join me over at Flickr where I am putting together a series called The Daily Walk 2013. I will post one or two (sometimes more) photos each day from my daily walks and bike rides, along with any thoughts that come to mind about the walks or the photos that seem worth sharing.

I cropped this one, Alittlediddy. I’ll put up the full toad tomorrow so your grandson can see it.
Wild Thing is a great name. 🙂
Ooooh! Love toads. I do!
Me too, Bo. 🙂
There’s no denying that’s a toad; warts and all. He’s a beauty!
What a nice little toadlet. I like his eyes.
I love toads and this is a very handsome toad at that! LOL Neat background too. 🙂
