We had some storms move through today and in between doing some household chores, I snapped a few photos of the rain hitting a table that sits on the deck out back.

I’d like to practice more with rain.  I can never quite get it the way I see it.

    Ha! I’m first!

The image looks great to me, Robin. Very soulful.

We had rain here last night, a massive thunderstorm that kept me awake. It was really cool to listen to.

Ah, lovely rainy shots. The shadow is nice and moody.

While a Mediterannean climate like we have on the west coast has advantages, I do miss summer rain. It’s one of the best things about our winter–listening to the rain. Nothing helps me get to sleep like rainfall. Last year we were in Pittsburgh in September, and enjoyed a warm rain. The locals scurried to get inside, and most have thought me daft, but it was a pleasure to be out in a warm rain again.

The second one is very cool; like an impressionistic painting. It captures a great moody feel.

Thanks Kel, OmbudsBen, and Norm. 🙂
