Hot air balloons

The lovely weather we’ve been having (for the most part) has brought with it a few hot air balloons floating across the sky here in the Bogs most evenings.  I don’t always take my camera out anymore since there are only so many ways I can capture a hot air balloon (depending on light, distance, etc.).

As a result of being a little bored with taking pictures of the balloons (but not at all bored with seeing them!), I started playing with some of the shots in Photoshop.  The little sparkle of light you see on the top right is sunlight.  My favorite part of this photo is the way the clouds were swooping upwards.

Here is the unshopped version:

I’m off to do a Muscle Max workout and if that doesn’t kill me, it’s laundry day.  The goal is to get all of the laundry washed, dried, ironed if needed, and put away by the end of the day.  The weather is cooperating with my goal.  It’s a good day to hang stuff out on the line to dry.

Exciting stuff, don’t you think?

Thanks for reminding me, I have a load in the dryer. 😉

Maybe not exciting, but kinda wholesome and nice and stuff.

That top one looks like a painting. It’s pretty wonderful, those striated colors.

Exciting only if you think it will be. 🙂
It’s a nice cloud background for the balloon. I love hot air balloons–as long as I”m looking at them from the ground.

Oh, some days I think it will be exciting. And some days, eh. Good balance that way. 😉

And I’m with you, Bo, on looking at the balloons from the ground.

Stunning sky backdrop for the balloon. Beautiful!!!

The photoshopped one has a surreal, almost UFO-like quality to it. The natural one has a lovely light to it. I like them both.

Ah, a laundry day. I have laundry weeks, where the laundry sits on the couch for a week begging to be folded. I like keeping it on the couch, because I’m never apt to let it sit for more than one week.

    Thanks, YB.

I don’t often post them, but have been leaning towards a surreal or fantasy quality to some of my photoshopped pictures lately.

I’m not sure your idea of keeping laundry on the couch would work for me. I’d end up sitting on the floor and letting the laundry have the couch. lol!
