I slept most of yesterday away. At this stage of life, I dislike sleeping a day away but it does seem to have helped. My body must have needed the rest.
The days have been clear, sunny and warm this week. It would have been a good week for working outside if I’d felt up to it. I hope to get out and about later today to see what’s happening in the garden. We could probably use some rain so I think I’ll do a rain dance while I’m out there. Watering the garden does the job, but the plants seem to prefer it when the water falls from the sky rather than from the watering can. Now that I think about it, we really should set up a rain barrel and start collecting the rain water.
Time for me to get busy and play catch up. I’m way off schedule for the week.

Today's view of the pond.

Wow, that’s quite a view from your deck. That would sure make me feel better! Sorry you’ve been sick. Hope you feel better soon. BTW, rain barrels are great. All of our friends are getting them. I think we’re going to look into purchasing one this summer. We’ll have to reroute the gutters though.
My new rain barrel is not connected to the gutter yet, but is over l/3 full from our monsoon the past few days. Last week I used a soaker hose on crisp, brown grass. You could see the hose path the next day. I understand from a friend that pressure is not strong enough for sprinkler. Perhaps if you elevated the barrel really high, it might work. The workings of this barrel are all new to me, but I will learn. Can’t stand to let our rain go to waste.
R(etc… ): Maybe the vodka is IN the mango juice. 😉
QM: Thank you. 🙂
Anhinga: We get so much rain and snow here that the idea of collecting rain water really didn’t occur to me until now. It’s usually pretty wet most of the time. This dry spell we’re going through is unusual.
Well, that explains why you’re feeling better….
