Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there! I hope you are having a very fine day.
Here in the Bogs I’ve been spending the day relaxing for the most part. My lovely husband cooked a wonderful breakfast and then spent a goodly amount of time trying to repair what appears to be the unrepairable (my computer). He did manage to rig something up so I have access to my files and the internet. I’ll be spending the next few days organizing and copying files to DVD. After that, who knows? I may wait and see what kind of magic M the Younger can work on the computer when he returns home for his wedding (if he has the time for it). He built the computer so he ought to be able to either fix it or declare it dead once and for all.
We started with a cloudy day, but now it’s quite lovely outside. I went for a short walk, mostly to take a few photos of the flowers and the pond. It’s not a good day for picture taking. It’s far too windy. But I did manage the almost-daily view of the pond:
(Today’s view of the pond.)
I also got a few shots of some of the flowers. The white lilacs at the top of the post are pretty much the best of the lot. I could stand near those all day, they smell so wonderful. The purple lilacs are my favorites in terms of color, but the white lilacs have a stronger scent to them. I can smell them long before I get to them.
I’m off to try to be at least a little useful on this day when I really don’t need to be. All the traveling we’ve been doing lately has left me with mountains of laundry. This is the perfect day for hanging the laundry outside on the line to dry.
