Move 2008 Update

Ok.

Weeks 21 and 22, as previously stated weren’t all that great. In Week 21 I had the fab excuse of peri-menopausal enhanced PMS. For the record, no one was harmed during the week (mostly because they’re all smart enough to leave me alone). The irony of this situation is that both the peri-menopausal symptoms and PMS can be mostly avoided if I move, move, move. Exercise works wonders.

Week 22 had me getting ready for our big annual party. I did manage a few treadmill sessions and one or two strength workouts with some yoga thrown in here and there for good measure.

Rather than list it all, I’m going to just give my total mileage for the year (since the 1000 miles is the main goal). Hopefully I’ll have my act better together for the next update, but I ain’t making any promises. M and I are going away for a few days, but where we’re going is not clear just yet. My father is in the hospital. I’ll have a better handle on our plans later today. I hope. If you’re the praying sort, please send a few prayers up for him and for my mother.

My total mileage for 2008 so far (drum roll, please): 461.47 miles

Not too shabby.

This week has started out well (my week runs from Monday through Sunday). I had a good treadmill workout followed by a really good weight/strength training workout. Stretching after it was all over and done with felt marvelous. I didn’t meditate this morning, but will fit that in this afternoon.

I’ve been involved in party clean-up today. M and I sort of took it easy yesterday, resting up after all the pre-party work and the post-party immediate clean-up (putting food away and cleaning up trash). We went out for our first sunset boat ride of the season and tried our hands at flying a kite since it was so windy yesterday afternoon and evening.

Summer is moving into the Bogs this week. Lots of heat headed this way.
