Man, turkeys sure are odd looking creatures. Makes you wonder why anyone would think to eat them. I suppose people eat odder things than turkeys.
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating it today. 🙂
M and I are having friends over for a non-traditional feast. Instead of turkey we’ve decided to make our famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza. We’re doing the traditional version with Italian sausage and pepperoni, and a vegetarian version loaded with veggies for our vegetarian guests.
Tomorrow will be our turkey day. It just seemed easier to do it this way. M and I can prepare the pizzas ahead of time, throw them in the oven when our friends arrive, and spend quality time with friends rather than cooking.
I have a lot to be thankful for in my life. I try to make a habit of listing the things I’m grateful for every day. It’s a good habit to have acquired because it makes me aware of and appreciative of all the gifts and blessings I’ve been given.
I’m not going to make a big list here at the blog. However, I do want to say thank you to all of my readers: family, old friends, new friends, future friends, and blog mates.
Thank you for reading, commenting, and enriching my life.
