Raising chickens?

I’m thinking about it. Raising chickens. Not immediately, of course. We still have a few months left of our adventures in Sabbaticalville and will be heading back there soon (two weeks from today).

I don’t know a thing about raising chickens so it’s something I want to think long and hard about. If any of my readers has any experience with chickens, please speak up. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter. Good idea? Bad idea? Easy to do? Difficult to do?

I found a few websites that I’ll be exploring just to get a general idea of what it takes to raise a couple of chickens.

That’s enough to get me started. I’m posting the links for my own benefit (so I don’t have to track them down again). I’m using M’s laptop while we’re home and don’t want to be loading it up with bookmarks.

The snow that was forecast for last night missed us. Yay! We have rain instead. April showers.
